This Plan was created with both staff and guests in mind, following the guidance of the Provincial Health Officer and WorkSafeBC. Drawing on the best practices of the Public Transit industry worldwide, Everything Revelstoke has implemented additional safety measures specific to COVID-19.

Everything Revelstoke COVID-19 policies and procedures are also consistent with BC Transit’s Restart Plan.

What to Know

The virus that causes COVID-19 spreads in several ways. It can spread in droplets when a person coughs or sneezes. It can also spread if you touch a contaminated surface and then touch your face.

The risk of person-to-person transmission increases the closer you are to other people, the more time you spend near them, and the more people you are in close contact with.

The risk of surface transmission increases when many people contact the same surface and when those contacts happen over short periods of time.

The virus that causes COVID-19 is easily destroyed by mild soap and water. Frequent hand washing is effective in stopping the spread of the virus. Proper hand hygiene, and cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, especially high-contact surfaces, are a high priority for Everything Revelstoke.

The passenger capacity for Everything Revelstoke vehicles has been reduced to enable for maximum space between passengers. The capacity for each trip will depend on the number of people travelling as individuals or as parties.

Enhanced cleaning protocols have been implemented at the start and end of each driving shift and between different groups of passengers. Cleaning protocols include both cleaning and disinfecting of vehicle interiors.

Everything Revelstoke drivers are closely and proactively monitored to ensure:

  • They are not exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. This includes a daily temperature check immediately prior to the start of their work-day.
  • They are following all COVID-19 company policies and procedures.

What To Do

All passengers are required to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Anyone who has had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 10 days must self-isolate at home.
  • Anyone under the direction of the provincial health officer to self-isolate must follow those instructions.
  • Anyone who has arrived from outside of Canada must self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms.

Everything Revelstoke Passengers are encouraged to adhere to social distancing, allowing 2m (6 feet) between individuals whenever possible.

During the unloading process, drivers will designate a specific area for luggage drop-off, and will spread luggage apart between each group. This will ensure appropriate physical distancing and will minimize contact between passengers retrieving bags.

Vehicles will be loaded from back-to-front, ensuring passengers maintain physical distancing.

All passengers are required to wear a face-covering:

  • Prior to boarding the vehicle,
  • Whenever you are inside an Everything Revelstoke vehicle, and
  • Until you have retrieved your luggage and are proceeding to your accommodation or flight.

Each vehicle is equipped with hand sanitizer for passengers as they enter the Everything Revelstoke vehicle. In the event a washroom break is necessary, the Everything Revelstoke driver will stop at a designated location with appropriate hand-washing facilities to ensure adequate hygiene.

A physical barrier between the driver and passengers that does not interfere with the driver’s ability to see or access controls, has been placed in each vehicle to maintain physical distancing.

Everything Revelstoke welcomes customer feedback.
